Darlene Elizabeth Lindsey, 86, of Waimea died April 17, 2013, at Hale Hoola Hamakua. Born March 15, 1927, in Whitman County, Wash., she was a property manager at the Mauna Kea Beach Hotel and member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.

Friends may call at 3 p.m. May 4 at the Lindsey family plot off Chesebro Lane in Waimea for a celebration of her life. Family requests casual attire be worn. Flowers are welcome.

She is survived by daughters, Dianna (Cal Fossom) Johnson of Washington, Deborah Lacharite of Waimea; son, Darren (Debbie) Johnson of Arizona; stepdaughters, Delsa (Glenn) Bertelmann and Deedee Bertelmann, both of Waimea, Diana (Merle) Kaaekuahiwi of Las Vegas; 22 grandchildren; 35 great-grandchildren; 10 great-great-grandchildren; numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.
